Recently, I read an article in one of daily newspapers. It’s about
Being Grateful.
It’s a very good and meaningful article. It makes me realize that as a human being we should be grateful for what we have. I used to be a person who learns things in a hard way. I used to be a person who always sees things in one perspective, my own perspective. I’m always right and people are always wrong. I often think that I’m not as fortunate as other people.
After reading that article, I realize that there are many things I have that others don’t. I have a family that cares about me a lot. I have a job that can bring me income so that I can live better. I have a carrying husband who loves me and two kids who are adorable and sweet. I still have my parents who also care about me and my family. So, if I’m still ungrateful, I would say that I’m out of my mind.
In that article, there’s a quote that attract my attention. It’s from an expert saying that
“You should learn how to like what you have, love what you’re doing”. By thinking that way, it will help you to survive and do your day-today activity. By doing that, you will be grateful for what you have and thankful for what you’re living in. God grants you with zillion things that sometimes you don’t realize. Try not to look up but look down. There are so many people who are less fortunate than you. They don’t have the same opportunities as you do. They struggle hundred times than you. They have to walk a mile to get to their destination, while you have your own transport to get there.
Don’t look to people and complain, why they can have all those fortunes and I don't have ones. It’s normal if you want to have more. But stop complaining. You should see things in different perspective. Don’t ever think or act that you’re the most unfortunate person on earth. Think positive, and be grateful.
